Experienced Commercial Lawyer - long-term secondment opportunity

Are you a Commercial Lawyer looking for an exciting new role with a prestigious Commonwealth agency in Canberra?

We're recruiting an experienced lawyer to help improve contracting and procurement in support of Australia’s overseas development program. Apply your commercial legal skills, and knowledge of Commonwealth procurement requirements, to help advance Australia’s multi-billion dollar aid investment.

Tasks include advising on all aspects of the procurement and contracting lifecycle, including planning, procurement, contract negotiations and drafting, contract management, dispute resolution, developing procurement and contracting templates, and liaising with key stakeholders.

Knowledge of and/or experience with Australia’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) would be highly regarded, but is not essential. You will need a current NV1, or higher, security clearance.

Long-term contract, to Dec 2025, with the possibility of extension for up to a further 12 months.
