Secondment opportunity - Director, Appeals (non-legal)

We are seeking to recruit an experienced professional to head up our Commonwealth client’s Appeals Team. This secondment from our law firm will be at the equivalent of the EL2 level. A six month contract is on offer initially.

The successful applicant will lead a team responsible for managing the agency’s response to Administrative Appeals Tribunal applications and court appeals. As part of the agency’s claims management strategy, there is a focus on alternative dispute resolution in decision review processes.

Candidates need to have experience managing litigation, but this is not a legal role and does not require a practising certificate. Demonstrated leadership skills are essential, along with experience in procurement and ongoing management of external service providers. We are looking for a strategic problem solver with sound knowledge of risk management who is keen to work on complex matters in a fast paced environment.
